Traveling with a baby

Traveling in general can be stressful. The lists, making sure you have everything, the planning. Now add a baby into the mix, it can almost seem daunting. Understanding that traveling with a baby is going to be different is the first step in knowing that it does not have to be stressful.

  1. MAKE SURE TO WRITE IT ALL DOWN

It is so important to write down everything needed for the trip. Babies require a lot of things and you would hate to not have it when needed. Make a list, check it off and worry a little less.

2. DON’T OVER PACK

It may seem you need 6 shirts and 10 pairs of socks for the weekend getaway, but just remember you probably won‘t. I plan it as an outfit for the day and a spare for each day. I also then pack a spare in my carry on if I am flying, just because motion sickness on a plane is not fun.

3. GO WITH THE FLOW

Have fun and just go with it. Don’t feel like you need to be first or do everything. Sometimes the best vacations are the ones you relaxed and planned nothing for.

4.STICK WITH THE BABIES SCHEDULE

This is so important.Try everything in your power to stick to the babies schedule. By keeping to schedule it helps with the day to day, but also for when you get back. You want to make it feel like nothing has changed.

5. HAVE FUN!

Vacationing with a baby can be so much fun. Enjoy every minute of watching them interact with a new environment and take lots of pictures!
